i got this from my Meme's house and i thought i'd share it. my Aunt made this, it's a little pill bottle filled with cute little sayings and advice! and the bigger jar is a little game i made up, for when the blue moon arrives, i must clean my room! so i made a little game out of it. i just put the different parts of my room, [ desk, left side of bed, closet...] and such on paper and pick one from the jar. but i decided to turn it into the place i put the quotes i've already read. it said 'Savings' ~which didn't last long~ i turned it into 'Sayings' ;]

on a post on My Name is Not King, bella told what her name meant and how she got that name [which is a really cool story, btw], then asked what other people's names meant. here is my comment~

my full name is Katherine, but i go by Katie and usually sign it just Kt. My middle name is Rae, my Aunt's middle name (which she goes by) and that name, while it is fitting, has not brought me 'great joy'. although i do get my singing voice from her ( i LOVE to sing too!), i also got my gracelessness (probably not a word, but...) from her. this is why both my brother and my mom say that i'm 'grace in training.' and then my brother adds that i'm never gonna get out ;]

help!

i need help. i can't figure out what to do with this rectangle i knitted. it's 38'' by 14'' and it's white and really soft, but it's light so i couldn't make a bag or anything out of it. :/ i don't know what to do!! help!

DRAGONS!?!?!?

went to go see how to train your dragon today and it was very good! soooo funny and sweet, but VERY intense. nick watched it through his eyes and i had my hand on his knee squeezing it {i'm lucky i have a brother who will let me do that and not smack my hand away; of course, his hands were occupied at the moment} the first half and my ears plugged the second. also the last 10 minutes of said movie were watched while a 5 year old kicked the back of my seat. i waited those 10 minutes for the parent of said kid to tell him to put his feet down. apparently i waited in vain. :/

makin a sweater for a friends baby: will post pics later today! i am almost done with it!! yay!! it's small, newborn size, so i whipped this baby up pretty quick!! { no pun intended} it's soo cute! it's the 'zane's coming home sweater' from the book '101 designer one-skein wonders'. sooo many good ides and patterns in that book! i also made the 'blanket bunny' for the baby too, sooo yummy! will post pics soon as i'm done!

also, did anyone watch the Harriet the Spy: Bog Wars last night? i did and thought it rocked! there aren't many {hardly any} disney movies that are good and appropriate these days, but i read the book a long time ago, and saw the first movie, so i watched it. i loved it! she reminded me of myself a lot {not that i'm going to lie to anyone and go to crazy extreme lengths to convince people that it's true, no way!} but i am a writer, i have a blog {which i don't see why she couldn't just make one of her own; then again, i guess she wanted that one so that certain people were sure to read it} and i like to observe tiny things about people, though i don't actually write them down in a notebook marked PRIVATE :/ . it was really good. and i thought starstruck was good when it wasn't being cheesy as a grilled cheese, which was quite often, and also, i found that you knew what was gonna happen. but i sat down and watched it both times it came on; i was bored and wanted something new to watch, and it was amusing enough. don't get me wrong, i liked it! but it's not in my top 10 favorite movies of all time.

and also, what is it with disney and lying?! i saw a flair on fb that said 'camp rocks motto: it's ok to lie as long as you can sing', which, if you think about it, is pretty on the dot. and i don't like how in harriet she lied and it was brushed aside so easily. lying isn't some little tiny thing people, it's still sin and it's still bad. lying viewed from that kind of perspective makes me sick. :#

ummm hmmm....

i finally got my camera to load my pictures onto my computer and i find this. nick's friend donald always comes into my room, takes a picture with my camera {if he can find it}, snaps a picture, and then leaves. occasionally he'll take out my dads guitar and strum a little, then put it back. but he usually doesn't damage anything so i guess it's cool. and he always comes in when i'm not in there so i really don't have a say i guess....... but he happened to snap this one day, so i thought i'd share. he also shot a couple of the inside of his nose, but i figured i wouldn't scar you to death...... at least not today, and not in that way. ;]

Today I cleaned my room. So it goes without saying that today was a dark day. (Just figuratively~ it's actually really pretty outside....)

a little scenario that occured today.....

so i'm in my room and jack comes to the door and says i'm 'prettiful'. i say 'why thanks!' and he comes into my room. i tell him he has to get out (my room is off limits to boys~ everyone knows that). he sighs and says okay. it's NEVER that easy. so i look at him. THE CON-ARTIST!!!!! THE LITTLE RAT IS MAKIN' OFF WITH MY STUFF!!!! so i tackle him grab the thing ( it happened to be about a 1 1/2 inch ball of yarn that fit inside his fist perfectly) and send him out.

Why are things NEVER that simple?
For the next 15 minutes he wouldn't go away. he would come in and say 'your SOOO prettiful' ( i had learned that trick by now; NOT gonna happen.)

but i couldn't keep a straight face as he would come in say 'you're SOOO beautiful'-which didn't get me by the way, it was this


ya.

Sooo, that went on fro a while, then i went and told my mom and when i came back, he was gone!

so i sat down at the computer and was then drained of half my life when he jumped out from behind the bed and scared me to death.

he was quickly ushered to the door and we again begun the 'you're so prettiful' and 'the look'. 5 minutes past and i had an idea after he said ' you're the most cutest girl in the world' (mind you it was the mocking tone that he said it in that made it easy to resist.)

i said 'i'm gonna tell Annie you said that."

that was all. didn't even say it in any special tone or way or with a look. in fact he was on the other side of the door at that particular moment, so it wouldn't have mattered anyway if i had given him a look or not.

but it did the job.

he quickly stopped in the middle of a ' you're so beautiful' and cut in with a 'PLEASE DON'T!!!!!'

those of you who have seen annie and jack together will know what i'm talking about ;]

I want a movie to watch but I've seen almost everything off iTunes, and gave up Netflix for lent, so that's out of the question, and can't find anything on Hulu ~ anyone know where i can find some cheap or free movies on legal websites?

i hate to clean my room. it's not even messy! everything's just spread out, so i can see it. if i put everything away, then i don' t know where anything is! #### ~ so annoying!

hmmmm...

totally love the dude what would happen show! i watch it after star wars and ben 10:alien force! [<3] tons of new ideas on how to blow stuff up...... or on creative ways of torture ;] we also had a bonfire tonight! ;] that was fun, i took pictures with my phone but not my camera, and i don' t know how to load them onto my computer ;[ sorry

today...

today i had another voice lesson, watched i love lucy [love that show!] and am working on my second hat. ;] i will post pictures of it when i get done and of the first one i made. i have found that hats are cute, you can use any kind of yarn with them, and they are quick to make. so i can actually finish them! woot woot!

my next attempt~soakers! we'll see how that one turns out...

The Lunch-time Taunters

I hate jelly. It taunts me. When I put it on the sandwich, its inconsistencies jeer at me. That is why if I fix a sandwich, it is meat, cheese, or just plain peanut-butter. Not jelly.

The same with milk. Not just any milk, no, I don't hold a grudge against all milk-kind. Just whole milk. It's thick, creamy consistency taunts me by saying, "You know you don't want to pour me, but you must. You must." That is why I drink skim milk. That and because whole milk tastes revolting to me.

But, unfortunately, making the typical lunch of my 6-year-old brother; a peanut-butter and jelly sandwich with a glass of whole milk, require me to face my taunters. So I suck it up, endure the taunting, and life goes on.

And apparently I'm the only ones with these issues.......
